Geologist and Data Manager
Lance received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984, and continues to study Computer Sciences at the University of Texas, San Antonio.
Between 1985 and 1991, Lance worked for RPI International, Inc., an independent Geologic Research Organization, based in Boulder, Colorado. As a project geologist, he worked on regional stratigraphic studies in the Rocky Mountains and surrounding basins. His experience includes fieldwork, core description, and sub-surface mapping of the Lower Cretaceous sediments in the Powder River, and Green River Basins in Wyoming. These studies include:

Dakota Sand of the Moxa Arch and Green River Basin.
While at RPI, Lance also served as Chief Geo-technician on 5 regional studies in the on-shore Gulf Coast, and Illinois Basin. He supervised the technical staff in the collection of all stratigraphic, structural, and well data, and it’s input into computer databases. He managed the team as computer aided mapping and graphics software packages were used to manipulate and interpret the data. These studies include:

From 1993 through June of 2004, Lance worked with Harvey H. Howell at Daubert-Howell Energy as a Geologist/Computer Specialist. His contributions with Howell include:

From 2004 – Present, Lance has worked for H.H. Howell, Inc. as a Geologist and has been involved in all of the company’s exploration activities in South and West-Central Texas. Lance was born in Laredo, Texas in 1961 and is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (A.A.P.G.).
